One routine day in Surgery, NHS GP Dr Vincent Forte had a Urethra Moment – and inadvertently alighted on the biggest problem that healthcare providers don’t know they have. Urine specimen contamination is the most common cause of untreated Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) which can wreck women’s lives and impact antenatal screening and prescribing.  It also means that millions of £ and $ are literally flushed down the loo due to contaminated and false positive samples being processed unnecessarily – and then retested.

Led by his sister Giovanna Forte, CEO of Forte Medical, Vincent’s invention Peezy Midstream is now growing in adoption in the UK and USA healthcare systems.
